What customers say?

“ I tried vegan scones for the first time here, opting for the fruit version. They were light, crumbly, and perfectly balanced with dried fruits. Paired with vegan butter and strawberry jam, they were simply heavenly. The banana pancakes were equally impressive, fluffy, moist, and naturally sweetened with ripe bananas. Drizzled with maple syrup and topped with banana slices, each bite was a delightful harmony of flavors. The Cafe also offers milk alternatives for drinks. A charming touch is the world map on the wall, where tourists are asked to place pins on their home countries, creating a sense of global community. ”

“ Outstanding lunch and service I had the most delicious coronation chicken sandwich here — full of flavour and clearly made with care. From the moment I walked in, I could tell the women running Rascals genuinely care about looking after their guests. They were warm, attentive, and welcoming throughout. The food is both healthy and satisfying, and I also had a really lovely smoothie to go with it. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed, nourishing lunch. Top-notch service and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommended. ”

“ This place is simply amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful even with a hungry toddler complaining. The place is clean and well laid out. High chairs available. The food was simply delicious, I had the coronation chickn roll and it was so good I didn't even stop to take a picture! Kitkat cake was probably the best cake I've had in a long time (and I've had a fair bit!) and the coffee was a lovely blend, just perfect. Kids menu also available, prices are very reasonable and I will definitely be back! ”

“ Lovely, dog-friendly restaurant in the heart of Perth. Great food and very warm welcome from the staff. Update... 19th Nov 2025. Another visit here - I don't get to stop by here as much as I'd like, but every time I do it's always a pleasure. This time I had their pancakes with maple syrup, tofu scramble and cruelty-free bacon, with coffee and warm apple turnover to finish. - delicious. ”

“ Beautiful little cafe with a wonderful atmosphere, the Mac and cheese was wonderful and the garlic bread was divine. It doesn't matter if you are vegan or not I would highly recommend a visit. The service was wonderful. ”

“ Yet another delicious lunch at Rascals! Accompanied by a warm welcome by folk with a true purpose in making this world a better place. We both had the Mac n cheese with garlic bread followed be carrot cake and coffee. All perfect! ”

“ Had lunch here with a friend yesterday (6th December) while visiting Perth. Very friendly place, good welcoming atmosphere. Excellent French onion soup and Coronation chicken panini. Shared some vegan cheesecake with another diner, and will have to order that next time! An excellent cup of coffee rounded things off. Very friendly staff. Felt at home right away. One of the main complaints I have about places to eat is that the ambient noise is often so loud that you can't hear yourself think (or your lunch guest talk). Delighted to say that this wasn't the case here. No obtrusive music, everyone talking but very peaceful. Now that I know you're here, I will definitely be back when I next visit Perth. For the record, I am neither vegetarian or vegan ”

“ My partner is vegan, and I don't consume dairy, so when it came to finding a place to eat in Perth, this came to mind, and it did not disappoint. I had a vegan chicken burger, and my partner had a rascal house burger, which he says is the best vegan burger he's ever had, and he's not eaten meat for a decade. The chips were nice, and the mayo sauce was delicious. I enjoyed my mocha very much. The atmosphere is very nice and the toilets are clean and smell refreshing. The staff are very polite and always come to the table to serve our food and drinks. It was a pleasant visit and we look forward to visiting again. ”
